In its modest 28 pages this book written by Ruth Slater, a former member of Bury Local History Society, goes into the weeks prior to the meeting on St. Peter’s Fields. It then tells what happened on the day itself, 16th August 1819 with a list of the casualties from Bury .
The trials at Lancaster and York in 1821 and 1822 are then described.
